Have I missed something during the setup, if you put any pressure on the front the unit tips forward. Just thinking that my adventuring cat could fairliy easily tip the unit & either fall on to the floor or worst fall on her, wall mounting is not an option.

A picture of your setup may help here.

The Arc Ultra should be stable when placed on any flat surface.

Thanks for the reply it is stable on a completely flat glass top entertainment unit. The question is it normal for it to tip forward when slight pressure is applied to anywhere on the front of the unit.

I’m not with my system at the moment so can’t double check, but I’ve previously felt the Arc Ultra on the left front where it gets warm and didn’t experience any tipping.

A picture would help….

Yes, the Arc Ultra can roll forward if pressed downward on the leading edge of the slope and pulled forward simultaneously. I’m not willing to test to the extreme. However, for normal interaction by adults that type of handling is not necessary. The volume controls on the top rear bar and pressure applied has no adverse affect upon stability. My suggestion is to get rid of the cat 🐈 😂

Seriously…However, you can place wedges under front for increased stability.

Mine sits on small stands to get it above the counter a couple inches, seems pretty stable. Can't try it flat as the TV's base extends too far forward under it.

I’m not sure how the Arc Ultra could possibly tip over and fall on the floor when placed on an entertainment unit, unless the Arc Ultra is already hanging over the edge of the unit.

Got back to mine, no reasonable pressure (not going to dent the cover trying) will cause any movement.

If you try rotating (twisting not pressing) it forward it will move, not sure how a cat could apply that type of rotation or the needed force.

Maybe if the cat got behind the Ultra it could apply enough pressure to slide it off your shelf. Easy enough to solve with a couple 3M command strips locking the Ultra to the counter. Easily removable and non-marring.

For the record the OP is not imagining the rolling forward of the Arc Ultra when handled in the manner I described. Is it enough to cause the Arc Ultra to do a complete roll off…probably not. Is it enough to label it a design flaw…IMO that depends upon your tolerance of perceived instability as to what amount is acceptable to not cause damage. However I understand the OP’s concern and will not marginalize it. My Arc Ultra for all intended purposes is stable as is.

Thanks for the replies all, I will look into wedges just to be on the safe side, @Mr. T yes unfortuantely it is quite close to the front edge. Probably just being over cautious, was just surprised how easy I felt it tipped whilst setting it up. Thanks again
