Airplay wont work in era 100 from windows pc itunes, but airplay works from iphone and other airplay devices work from pc.

Welcome to the Sonos Community!
We are aware of an issue whereby some Sonos speakers will be unable to play AirPlay feeds from a Windows PC running iTunes software, and we are investigating. We have no estimate for when a fix might be put in place, but I will update this thread when I hear of it.
In the meantime, you should be able to play to affected speakers by AirPlay-ing to speakers not affected and grouping the intended speakers in with it, where this is an option. Era 100, Era 300 and Move 2 speakers are affected by this issue.

Progress updates are not available to either of us, I’m afraid.
Same issue for me, audio stream from win 11 iTunes not working to Era 100.

Just bought an Era 300 last week and I was really surprised when I noticed that there was no sound coming from the speaker if I airplay music from Apple Music Windows application (which was my planned primary source for music streaming when I’m in my home office, to easily track lyrics from Windows app which Sonos app lack unfortunately) - then noticed this thread.
I wasn’t expecting this before I made my purchase, I really liked the sound quality of the Era 300, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that however seriously (and sadly) thinking refunding the product if there won’t be any fix/fw update until my return window ends I’m afraid.
Had to send mine back, the Era 100 sounds good, overall a nice speaker.
However airplay from win 11 iTunes didnt work and also I wanted to connect old mp3 player via Audio cable - so brought the official Sonos USB C-to audio cable and was very surprised when it had clickey sound issues (even after adjusting the audio out settings on the Sonos App)
So instead I brought the Denon 150 NV - similar specs -
and on this airplay from windows 11 works fine and obviously it has an actual audio in, none of this proprietary USB-C non-sense, so there we go
If you dont want to use Window or suffer from audio-in issues, then the speaker is good.
I just bought the Era 100 speakers last week, when they advertise Airplay compatibility. Now I realize it doesn't work with Music Assistant.
Should I return the speakers, they sound good seem to be easy in using, but 1 year to solve a firmware issue - what else are they slow with.
Finally Sonos has fixed the firmware. Airplay 1 is back in my Eras!!
Just 15 months to fix it.
I recommend to everyone disable the Rhea auto firmware update.
That’s odd. While I’m happy your system is working properly again, to my knowledge, Sonos has never supported AirPlay 1, only AirPlay 2.
Not true, Airplay is backward compatible, any device that’s support airplay 2 also works with airplay 1.
My eras work perfectly on airplay until November 2024, broken by a firmware update, which is now finally fixed.
