Am I correct in saying these "wireless" speakers do not work with being connected to the power cable?? Why does almost ever photo have them displayed in home / mounted on walls with NO power chord connected.

Yes, the "wireless" designation applies to the streaming/networking aspect. As to the absence of power cords, you never see cords in marketing photos for any powered product ever made. That's advertising 101.

Amazon is being more honest than most as in seen in the link. In some photos the cord is clearly seen, in some it can be claimed to be there but out of sight.

In this case, all one can say is that Sonos is being as dishonest as most makes out there.

Curiously, the Amazon US/UK sites show no cords, the link above is Amazon India.

For anyone reading this thread. You won't see the power cords even on the Sonos site. However, if you read the Specifications under Power and Networking for any Sonos product it gives the power requirements. By default the information provided indicates that they are not battery powered but require a compatible electrical source.

Cheers!
