Last weekend my Playbase and 2 Play 1 surrounds suddenly dropped out and my system was not found by the app. I set them up again but whatever I do I cannot get the Playbase to work over wifi and it cannot be positioned next to the router in my hallway. If I wire it via ethernet I can connect but it cannot be wirelessly networked to complete setup. The rear speakers can be. I cannot get them all on the same room setup as the Playbase has to be moved to the TV to complete setup but then won't as it cannot connect on wifi. I did a factory reset on all units but that did not work. I brought the TV into the hallway to complete the remote setup after the reset so at least I can get sound and adjust the TV. I cannot get the Playbase on the network and therefore cannot pair it back with my surrounds. So frustrated!

I have adjusted the bass and treble setting on the sonos equalise within the app and uncheck the loudness option but it does not change the bass distortion I hear during play back of some songs, in particular dance tunes. I have two plays 1's and the others fine, any suggestions.

I got a ZonePlayer, I guess this is an older version of what is now Connect, and hooked it up to a powerline adapter in the living room because my router is in a bedroom. I got it to work the first time, but after awhile, I couldn't connect to it with the app and numerous attempts to re-do it failed. The app says "Looking for WiFi" even though the ZonePlayer apparently doesn't use WiFi, but must be wired. The buttons don't match what the wizard shows for the top button because it's a "Mute" button on the ZonePlayer. I had to select the "Connect" during setup because there is no specific "ZonePlayer" option. I moved the unit into the bedroom and connected directly to the router and it went through the setup successfully and very quickly, so there must be an issue using powerline adapters. For anything else I've connected over about 8-9 years, the powerline adapters have been far superior to WiFi. I've never had an issue with one until now and they don't require software to set up.

Hello, I have 2 Gen 2 Play 5's and both have lost a few of the rubber feet somehow. 2 x round bumpers, and 2 x the rectangular ones. Sonos CS claims "We do not replace PLAY:5 feet, as they are not rubber, but part of the unit. We can replace PLAY:3 because they are rubber, and not part of the unit" Has anyone by chance found a remedy for this situation? Thanks

Which has a better sound quality stereo pair of Play 1s vs Play 5?

Now... I get bored so I thought of something! I have a Sonos CONNECT to hand (was connected to the Samsung soundbar downstairs heh), Play 1 pair and SUB. And I also have Dolby Atmos for headphones purchased because, well, I use it for gaming with, you guessed it, headphones! Basically, it turns your generic stereo headphones - any stereo headphones - into surround sound... Virtual surround sound might I add. So I had a question in my head -- what if I position the pair of Play 1's directly to the left and right side of my head like headphones and use Dolby Atmos for headphones with a line-in source through the Connect? So I try it and it sounds so damn cool. It might not be to par as the cans right over your ears but it is also damn close! I could easily play games that support this technology in virtual surround like Overwatch that has 7.1 virtual Atmos built in. I was shocked to feel like I was hearing things behind me with the Atmos demo. Crazy stuff! Give it a try if

Have a Sonos sound bar, sub and 2 play 1 as surround with a sharp aquos tv. With a direct tv wireless client there is no audio when using hdmi but do when using component and right/left rca. Other items (Apple TV, Xbox) work with hdmi but not the direct tv.

Hi Sonos Community! The short question: Which Bluetooth adapter do you recommend to use with Sonos Play 5 (via line-in)? I've just bought Sonos Play 5 and I am greatly disappointed. Sound quality is truly amazing. The lack of Bluetooth is really annoying. I knew it before buying but in practice you need Bluetooth some times! The Bluetooth would make this speaker perfect. For this reason I am considering return and going with Bose SoundTouch 30. However I decided to give it a shot with Bluetooth adapter. Can you please recommend one which would not lower the quality of the sound? Thx! Greg

Can a Sonos One assigned to the family room play the same music at the same time as the Sonos One in the dining room?

It seems like an addiction is building up inside me. I can't stop myself thinking about adding new pieces to my sound ecosystem. So,I own a brand new Play 5 gen 2 and I wonder if adding a pair of Play 1s in the same room will create much and observable difference in listening experience and sound quality?

I have my Sonos:Connect connected to my TV, and one thing I would LOVE to be able to do is play music through the TV and use the TV as a controller. Being able to see what is playing, and use my Roku remote to rate tracks and control playback. As complete as the Sonos experience feels for me, this is definitely a place where I feel I am missing. Some of the streaming services has Roku apps, that definitely fills in some of the gap, but not all of them do. Plus this doesnt allow me to modify groups, which still has to be done through the use of a phone or computer.

Downstairs in my family room I recently put together the following system - Playbar attached to my TV, and two Sonos Play1s as surround sound speakers (I'll be adding the Sub shortly). I also have an Echo Dot in the Family room that I use to voice control the system, as well as other Alexa functions. If I wanted to purchase the Sonos One (with Alexa built in) for my upstairs living room to use as a single speaker and another Alexa device, is it possible to have the same music playing throughout the whole house and have Alexa control it all by voice? Honestly, I'm so annoyed with Sonos customer support. I logged an issue a few weeks ago saying that I couldnt connect to my Sonos wifi speaker, and have still not had the issue resolved. I was dealing with an employee called Damian who just stopped emailing me when I asked to talk to his line manager - his emails were averaging at one a day (if even) and they weren't particularly helpful. When I begged him to resolve it before the weekend, it didnt seem to hasten his responses. So I logged a new issue with Sonos about a week ago and have still heard nothing. Atrocious. Why bother getting a wifi speaker if it is so temperamental. Bose offer a bluetooth connection which is so useful if there are problems connecting to wifi. This issue is STILL NOT RESOLVED and I've been without my music for a couple of months now. BAD. So my Sonos is connecting to the ethernet cable but when I detach it and try the wifi it wont connect using my phone or laptop. Im concerned because it's an old phone I

I have 9 devices around the house, couple of play 5's in a stereo pair, couple of play 1s in a stereo pair, and a few playbars, 1s and 3s dotted about. I have 1 Play 1 connected via ethernet to the network, and using this as the 'Boost' when i look at the webUI on the sonos http://ipaddress:1400/support/review, the matrix shows that some of the further away devices are trying to directly connect to the device thats directly connected via ethernet, instead of another device that is much much closer (ie the other side of the wall!) As such, the device thats furthest away drops out of the system now and again and its frustrating why it won't connect to a closer device instead. Is there a way to force which devices connect to which?

How can I connect a Sonos Play:1 to my computer to use it as the default line out speaker?

My sonos system is set up fully, all white lights... But my app won't find them at all. I have the play base, 2 sonos 1s and a sub. Everytime I open the app it says to set up the system. I just recently unplugged and replugged the router, but everything else works fine.. Passwords the same and the speakers are still talking to each other and playing audio in surround from my Chromecast. Any ideas why I can't connect?

Has anyone had any experience with the sonos one outside, I live close to Portland Oregon and the air can get rather soggy was wondering if anyone has had any issue with this. :?

It would be awesome if the volume control rocker switch on the actual Sonos units was more precise at low volume levels. Right now it makes fairly large volume changes with each click, but when trying to set it at night to play at a nice low level for sleeping it's hard to get it just right. Of course the remote control app on the phone offers very fluid and finite control of the volume, but when you're trying to sleep, and it's sitting right there on the nightstand, pressing the physical buttons on the unit is easier.

My connect keeps cutting out/stuttering when playing music. It is currently plugged in via ethernet cable as it was also cutting out before when running on wireless. My internet speed is 100mbps so I know it's not an internet speed issue. My diagnostics number is 3944892

As I continue to add more speakers and rooms to my system, I get more and more annoyed with seeing music showing up as playing(displayed) in the 'Rooms' tab, even though it really isn't. I know many choices of music can be cleared by deleting the Queue or having the option to STOP it. There are however other music stream services that don't give you that option, and the only thing you can do is pause it. It's probably just the OCD in me, but if I'm done listening to music in a room, I wanna see that room as showing 'NO MUSIC'. For now, if I want to see the 'NO MUSIC' in a particular room, I've been starting something from my music library and then clearing the Queue to achieve this. Seems like there should be an easier way. It'd be nice if there was an option to 'Stop all music', resulting in all rooms showing 'NO MUSIC'. Thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

To address the following frequent requests to extend the Sonos use cases: 1. Using Sonos, and in particular play 1 units, as computer speakers. 2. To use a play 1 pair with/without Sub for audio as well as 2.1 video. 3. To use Sonos as bluetooth speakers just by wiring a cheap Dot to them. 4. To get the conveniences of bluetooth without having to add BT capability to Sonos. 5. To use voice control with Sonos with both Amazon and Google without being tied to possibly sluggish Sonos efforts for this. 6. To use Sonos in places where there is no internet/WiFi. Cons 1. The issue of sync with video where uncompressed isn't supported by the WiFi set up. 2. Development cost. 3. Cannibalisation of play 5 and play bar/base sales; perhaps even of Connect. Not a con, but this extension will not address the requirement of a portable/external, battery included Sonos speaker which is the other frequent ask. But Sonos use will be extended to places where just mains power is available, b
