Era100 SL placement sdvice

Hi all

I am waiting the delivery of a Beam 2, Mini sub and 2x Era100s as an undated of my Canton DM55. 
The Beam and Sub with go under the TV sub either side or behind the cabinet, any advice appreciated. 
the main question is where do I put the rear surrounds? The main seating is on the brown sofa near the book case and the striped chair. 
there is a side table to the left of the sofa and a bookcase with CDs to the right of the chair. Would that work of should I look at the top of the main bookcase?

any guidance or thoughts please.

      The Sub behind the TV works well here, mine is set at 45 degrees to the corner so the low frequencies are reinforced by the walls.

      For the surrounds, get some stands and try multiple locations and either pick the best for your preferred location or the best compromise for both chairs.

        Based upon the location of the TV, Beam 2 and room layout mounting Era 100SL’s on stands may be difficult to achieve a desired surround effect that won’t interfere with persons seated (Red Line).

        IMO placing one Era 100SL on top of the bookcase and wall mounting the other at a complimentary height is the better solution. 


        Placing the Sub Mini where indicated allows it to reflect low frequencies off the wall and the two cabinet surfaces on either side. Especially so as the room is what is called “soft” (which absorbs sound) given the carpet, area rugs, curtains, drapes, plush seating and pillows. You can always experiment with sub positioning to achieve the best low-end; but below would be my starting point. Of course the pictures on the floor would have to be removed elsewhere. 😊

          If the top of the bookshelf is an attractive option, try both up there. Try to keep them at least 3 feet / a meter apart to avoid radio self-interference. 

          The image isn't going to be as intended but it does provide surround audio with minimal effort. Mine sit on opposite ends od an IKEA bookcase in my corner, and are rotated to face along the walls.

          Stands provided a better image here but were unacceptable to the spouse.
