sonos voice volume

Hi,

since the last update Sonos Voice Assistant’s volume is fixed to a constant unintelligible low, one is unable to hear it nor is it possible to set it via the master volume. Would it be possible to give the users a separate Assistant volume control? Thank you.

I am sorry to hear of this issue you are having with the Sonos Voice Assistant’s voice being at a lower volume than other content.

This issue is not reproducible for us, so I recommend that you reboot the speaker concerned by unplugging it from power for a moment.

If this does not help, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

It’s reproducible for me. And no matter how I try to raise the volume, the voice assistant stays at a whis[per.

 

This is pretty crappy. How hard is it to at a minimum provide a slider in the app to adjust the voice assistant volume?

I don’t use voice control anymore, but my understanding is the voice ‘response’ is supposed to vary with the volume of the speaker, and not be a ‘whisper’. Have you tried a power cycle on this device? Have you checked for firmware updates in the controller?
