connection to TV

 First, my Sonos is about 6-7 years old and it worked well. I’ve lost  the correct cable connection to my TV. As a result I have terrible sound. I get echos and very often I can’t control the volume with the remote.  My connection was  very vanilla but I don’t know how to reconnect the two. Any help will be appreciated.
