I’ve successfully setup a Beam/sub mini based 5.1 setup to my PC via optical cable. Everything’s working perfectly. Is there some way to “link” my PC volume to my PC? With my HDTV/Arc, when I turn up the volume on the TV, it effectively turns up the volume on the Sonos. However, my PC Optical Out audio is independent of the volume on the Sonos soundbar. Can I configure Sonos to be turned up/down when I change my PC volume similar to how it works with my TV?

I don’t have a windows PC anymore. However, if I remember correctly you should have an option to configure the optical-out in the PC sound card to “variable” output which should allow you to control the volume via your PC.
