Translation:

I live in a two-story apartment where I want good sound in the living room (downstairs) and the kitchen (upstairs). I have ordered a beam to have in the living room and two era 100 (I'm thinking one in the kitchen and one in the living room). Can they be connected together and separated separately?I understand that the sound will be better with a beam and two era in the same room, but can this work as a good transitional solution until the wallet allows more?Thank you for all the answers!

You can group all three speakers if they are setup in different rooms, but there would be a delay to the Era 100s when watching TV. This is unavoidable because of how Sonos works.

You can also set the Era 100s as surrounds, but in the same room as the beam would be best.

There is no easy way to switch between separate room audio and home theater audio with Sonos speakers. You will have to un -pair and retune, then pair and re-tune every-time you set them up differently.
