Hey Sonos Community, Wow, what a fantastic couple of months it's been celebrating our 20-year anniversary! I hope you all enjoyed participating in the celebrations and the potential to win some nice prizes 😉 During the celebrations, we took a trip down memory lane, revisiting some of our biggest milestones and the cool innovations that have shaped our sound experiences. It was awesome hearing your stories and seeing how Sonos has been a part of your lives. One of the highlights for me was seeing all the creative ways you use your Sonos gear. From showing off your favorite products in our throwback thursdays and clever hacks to sharing your unique setups, it was truly inspiring to see the different ways you use your Sonos setups from a day to day. Throwback Thursday: Our Journey from 2015 to 2019 Hey Sonos community! 🌟 I'm back with our third Throwback Thursday. This time covering the period of 2015 to 2019. When it comes to the numbers we grew to 259,161 users, 146,928 of those were registered during this period. Hitting a quarter of a million users was a big milestone for us! With the higher number of users it makes sense that we would also hit some big numbers regarding content. Well we managed to hit over 326k posts in this period, almost twice as many as the previous periods 170k posts. Through the years I have seen a few ways people have customized their Sonos setups and thought it would be great to start a discussion on the best DIY hacks and tweaks you've all come up with. Whether it's improving sound quality, integrating with other systems, or just making your setup more aesthetically pleasing, I'd love to hear your experiences and ideas! Hey Sonos community! 🌟 It’s our second throwback Thursday and this time we will cover the period of 2010 to 2014 . Let's take a stroll down memory lane and chat about our exciting journey. These years were packed with cool innovations and milestones that really set the stage for what Sonos is today. Sonos Packaging Through the Years

Look at how the package design for the Play:5/Five has changed through the years. Which design is your favorite? Which is your least favorite? My favorite has always been #2. I always liked the contrast of the bright gradient of colors with the darker panels and black speaker. As much as I appreciate sustainable packaging, my least favorite would have to be #4. But kudos to Sonos for actually giving a damn about our planet.

My total tenure at Sonos is just over 13 years. For the past ten, I have been a Beta Program Manager working on hardware programs, features, and software. Hey everyone, Last week, we mentioned it was time to show off your setups, and we hope you've had a chance to make them presentable! I've been on a journey with Sonos for years, starting with just one speaker (my dear Sonos One) and gradually building up to a full home audio system with a Beam and two Sonos Ones. My setup is still evolving as I try to find what works best for me, and I'd love to hear about your experiences too. How has your setup changed over time? Have you added more speakers, upgraded models, or tried out new features? What’s your favorite part of your current setup? For me, it's the ability to “hide” the speakers in plain sight. What Was Your First Sonos Product? Share Your Experience!

Hey everyone, I thought it would be fun to start a conversation about our first experiences with Sonos products. Whether you're a long-time user or just recently joined the Sonos ecosystem, we'd love to hear your story! For me, my first Sonos product was in 2019. Sonos wasn’t that big in Denmark at the time, so I didn’t know about them until I joined one of their partner locations in Edinburgh in 2018. But when I joined Sonos in 2019, I was thrilled to receive a Sonos One as a welcome gift. I still use it to this day; at the moment, it’s my bathroom speaker for when I need to jam out to some Architects while shaving and showering. It’s been a fantastic addition to my daily routine! Throwback Thursday. The Early Innovations of Sonos: 2005-2009Blog

Hi all, Let’s take a look back at the first five years of the community and what happened at Sonos during that time. I wasn’t with Sonos back then and didn’t know about the community either, so going through the data was pretty interesting to get a perspective on where we are today compared to back then. Between 2005 and 2009, the Sonos community reflected our overall userbase, and had grown to 8,109 users by the start of 2009. In that same time period we had 60.700 posts created, of which 9,090 were topics. So even back then, we had a busy community. These were the topics that had the highest number of replies between 2005 and 2009: PC or Mac Based Software Zone Player (275 replies) A thread talking about what essentially is Airplay these days. Windows sadly never implemented something similar, but of course we now have some music services that can do it themselves like Spotify and Tidal.
