Question

FORCED TO UPDATE TODAY AND NOW NOTHING WORKS

forced update today as I tried to listen to my house full of speakers. now nothing works. the app recommends factory resetting but it seems like at least one of my speakers is unresponsive? is it bricked?

whats going on? pretty * for a system that costs as much as it does. devs should to make sure something is good before they roll it out. Last week I was considering adding units, now Im considering giving up on sonos.

“the app recommends factory resetting” - this sounds highly unlikely, please supply a screenshot.

Your speakers are fine, easily proved with the Desktop app. Its the new app that is, um, challenged.

I agree with controlav. While a Factory Reset might accidentally, temporarily work through something, it rarely resolves fundamental issues and wastes a lot of time. You can easily trash your SONOS playlists and music service registrations.

likely or not. its what the app recommended. I got it, working around my own way, getting rid of this system asap.
