Does the Sonos Play portable speaker have a battery bypass or management system, if I leave it on the stand for a loooooong time does it bypass the battery after the battery is charged?

As far as I’m aware, all Sonos battery powered units have power management. If you search these forums, there are quite a few threads that state there is no reason not to keep them ‘charging’.
I have my Play on the charging base and hooked to a smart charger, once it reaches full charge the charger shows it has stopped charging.
The Play's sales page and guide don't mention any limits on time spent connected to a charger but they do mention battery management, but with minimal details.
