How do I connect a Marantz M-CR611 to Sonos Roam?

Best answer by jgatie

The only way to incorporate a 3rd party receiver into the Sonos system is to use a Port.  You could connect via Bluetooth, but that Marantz is only a Bluetooth receiver, not a transmitter.

Can you link to the manual for those of us not familiar with this Marantz device?

The Roam can be connected to via WiFi, using the Sonos app, or via Bluetooth, from any Bluetooth generating device. The Roam does not have a line in, though.

Thanks guys,

the idea is to use the Roam as a seperate speaker for the Marantz.

Here’s a Link to the manual.

Thanks for helping me out 😊

As stated, you need to connect a Sonos Port’s line-in to the Analog Outs on the Marantz.  Note, the analog input on a Port will be delayed 75 ms from the source to account for buffering.

The Roam has no ports whatsoever 🤔

You misunderstand, a Sonos Port is a separate device.

Sorry, I didn’t get it 😧

Yet, this seems to be the only way to link the two.

Thanks anyway!
