Hi

I have a TV with one slot of HDMI connector

i wanted to connect my Sonos Beam 2 to the TV and wanted to check which connector is ideally suited

thanks

Which TV is it? Normally, if there is one HDMI port, it isn’t an ARC version, so the Sonos wouldn’t receive a signal.

And I’m not sure with only a Beam that you need eARC support. I’d be tempted to go with a cheaper HDMI switch with optical, and use the Sonos adapter to connect.

Although if you must, there is the HD Fury Arcana, the Feintech VAX04101k, and the OREI HDA-935. You can also order from those links from the companies directly, or check your local retailers for availability. Amazon may carry some, depending on location. At this point, there may be more manufacturers, I haven’t been keeping track.

It’s a Samsung

i honestly don’t know the version :(

my question was is there specific type that I need to look for

or any regular hdmi splitter is good enough

pls suggest

As @Airgetlam infers if you have a TV that is only equipped with one HDMI- connection it is probably very old, so it will not have HDMI-ARC. This means you will not get sound from your TV to the Beam. You could use an external players to play to the TV and the Beam, but using a regular HDMI splitter will also not work for this reason - it will not send the HDMI-ARC signal the Beam needs. Some of the splitters @Airgetlam mentions can produce an HDMI-ARC signal from external players. I seem to remember the HDFury at least needs an HDMI-ARC TV used for set up.

Is there no serial number printed on your TV that you could share here?

@Gaurav20

Do you use any Dolby Atmos sources e. g. playing bluray movies? If not, I would check the tv for an optical spdif audio out. If there is one, you could use Beams optical to hdmi arc adapter and play DD5.1 audio.
If you use Dolby Atmos, I recommend one of the mentioned hdmi eARC audio extractors. The hd fury doesn’t include a switch function like the others. Myself I use the Feintech with 3 different input devices and it works quite well. Be aware that using a hdmi audioextractor you can’t play audio coming from the tv itself, if it doesn’t have a hdmi arc connector.

Just to complete the list of devices…

FeinTech now also offers a hdmi eARC audio extractor with just one hdmi input like the hd fury.
