Volume differences between Atmos & non-Atmos music.

There is a huge difference between Dolby Atmos music and non-Atmos music.  My system is Arc - Sub - 300s.  For Atmos tracks I am usually at volume 29-30.  With the same album in a different codec I have to use a volume of around 60 or more.  God forbid I should mix Atmos & non-Atmos tracks in a playlist.  TV volume and Atmos volume are closer to each other, but I don’t listen to TV that loud so maybe not a great comparison.

NOTE:  My Volume Limit is set to 65.

I rarely listen to music on my Arc Ultra, 100 and Sub Room, but I didn't notice a difference in Atmos and stereo track volumes.

I do listen, a lot, to a 300 Pair and a 300 and Sub (gen 2) Pair and not hearing it there. I do notice volume differences between tracks, often quite aggravating, to the point I have tagged several too loud tracks to not play again. I noticed no correlation to Atmos or Stereo. I see the same volume issues on my Play 5 gen2, and a Beam (gen 1) that I use as a streaming speaker, no TV conmected.

Might be service related, I use Amazon Music Unlimited for almost all listening. What one or ones are you seeing this on?

Almost all Atmos are louder than their stereo counterpart.  I usually use Qobuz for that comparison or if the stereo.  Version is in my library I’ll use that.  I also use Amazon Music Unlimited for the Atmos.  Actually I mostly play Atmos on the Arc-Sub-300s.  Occasionally I’ll try a stereo album which is when I notice that huge volume difference.

Not complaining too much.  The dynamic range on Atmos music is awesome.  Some classical orchestral almost makes me jump out of my chair.
