Sub 4 not connecting to Arc Ultra

My new sub 4 initially connected to my arc ultra then noted it was no longer working and disappeared from the iPhone app. I have tried to connect it again. It goes all the way through the process and says connected to system but checking settings it says sub 4 not connected and no sound. I have tried factory restarting, resetting app, deleting app and starting fresh with arc ultra and sub 4 and resetting router and nothing works, any ideas

If you can find a video for your exact router and firmware version it might help, really unnecessary though as it is just going to say click here, type numbers there.

Better to just open the DHCP Settings page on your router and follow the instructions there. You will likely be done before you could find the right video.

I’ll give it a go when I get home next week, not sure how to assign an IP but I’m sure there’s a you tube video for it 😀

Well i have my ultra arc a static IP and rebooted the arc and the sub 4 appeared and worked for a minute then disappeared off the app and this kept happening after rebooting the the arc, I then gave the sub 4 a static IP and just did the same, this sub is terrible, I’ll get in touch with Sonos help but can see this sub going right back, very disappointed with it

This appears to be a common issue with a Vodafone router. Are you able to wire the Arc Ultra to the router?

Unfortunately not, I moved my router to an upper floor to hard wire to games consoles

Spoke to Sonos and turns out you can only hard wire Vodafone ultra hub and Sonos do not support power line pass through or extenders so Sonos is practical useless for my house with the current router as it’s no where near my system and defeats the wireless system I wanted so looks like I’m returning the lot if possible, very disappointing

Well turns out I should have been quicker resolving this issue as the 30 returns is part, so guess I have a very expensive paper weight till I can figure out how to change my router, turning out to be a terrible expensive experience

Why does your router need to be close to your gaming set up?

I wanted the gigafast hard wired to ensure I got max speed for my gaming. Even it was in the same room I don’t want wires trailing around the room to the additional speakers as it defeats the purpose of the set up
