Sub 4 not connecting to Arc Ultra

My new sub 4 initially connected to my arc ultra then noted it was no longer working and disappeared from the iPhone app. I have tried to connect it again. It goes all the way through the process and says connected to system but checking settings it says sub 4 not connected and no sound. I have tried factory restarting, resetting app, deleting app and starting fresh with arc ultra and sub 4 and resetting router and nothing works, any ideas

If you can find a video for your exact router and firmware version it might help, really unnecessary though as it is just going to say click here, type numbers there.

Better to just open the DHCP Settings page on your router and follow the instructions there. You will likely be done before you could find the right video.

For info, went back to Sonos to see if a Sonos booster in the existing Vodafone ultra hub works works but they say due to the booster working of Sonosnet and the arc ultra dies not user this system then it was a no. They said bridging my router to another router could work. I managed to get my provider to give me the router user name and password so I’m changing routers. Any recommendations for gigafast line?

The Boost should be considered obsolete, if you have one and it is working you could keep it although going to wifi or wiring a speaker might be better options.

The Bridge really needs to go in any situation, causes too many issues and has very poor (Sonosnet v1) performance.

Booster was just a query with Sonos, I don’t have one. I’m just going to change routers when I find a suitable one . Hard wiring not a option, to far away and on a different floor.

Bit of positive news, since this latest Sonos update my Sub 4 has appeared in my app and working and 24 hours later all it’s still there, 👍

Well i have my ultra arc a static IP and rebooted the arc and the sub 4 appeared and worked for a minute then disappeared off the app and this kept happening after rebooting the the arc, I then gave the sub 4 a static IP and just did the same, this sub is terrible, I’ll get in touch with Sonos help but can see this sub going right back, very disappointed with it

And I spoke to soon, back to saying Sub 4 not connected 🤬 useless system, I personally wouldn’t recommend Sonos

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend the Vodafone Ultra Hub… One reason why I ruled out Vodafone when changing ISP.

@Rich666, Separating 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi bands might help; you’d need to access your router's settings and change the SSID (network name) for each band.

Further up date, hard wired the arc ultra only to Vodafone hub ultra extender which Vodafone said wasn’t compatible but sub 4 working so far but then again it usually does for a short while, fingers crossed this works
