Sonos SUB Gen 4 delay compared to my hard wired 3rd party speakers?

So I own 2 KEF Q550's and a Sonos AMP + Sub Gen 4.

The sub seems to have a slight (obvious?) delay due to being connected via wifi. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this?

I know having only Sonos speakers would probably fix it but i'm not in a financial position to upgrade everything to sonos (and weirdly enough, people tell me the KEF's give a better sound were I to replace them for a Arc Ultra?)

Overall I'm very happy with the AMP and Sub.

Thanks!

There should be no delay in the Sub when connected to an Amp and 3rd party speakers.  You should submit a diagnostic and contact Sonos with the reference number.

Aha. If thats the case then I'm questioning my own hearing. Perhaps I'm hearing a delay based on my own expectation? (The sub being wireless = delay)

You're saying the amp adds a delay to the front wired speakers so it matches any sub delay?

Thank you jgatie.

All Sonos devices buffer the input by about 75 ms so streaming to other rooms can be synchronized and missing or corrupt packets can be resent without dropouts.  For streaming sources, this buffer is built up almost instantly, so you won’t notice any delay.  For live inputs (Line-in), the delay will be noticeable. This buffer is the same whether the device is on WiFi or Ethernet and is the secret sauce that allows all Sonos devices to stay in sync.
