Hello all, now I'm interested in play audio in DTS via music or with my PS5 via optical to my Ray, until now I have been not able to play well, always only plays audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and never in DTS, I have a 2023 LG TV with pass-through activated and always is DD 5.1, there's a solution?

All Sonos home theatre soundbars are supposed to support DTS, as you say. But just to note the LG CX, C1, C2, G1 and G2 don’t support DTS passthrough. And those LG TVs that do support it only do so over ARC/eARC.
If your TV does support it, you could try this extractor which allows you to connect your Ray to the TV’s eARC port, and it supports DTS.

I don’t think so, as far as I’m aware, Sonos optical interfaces are restricted to Dolby Digital at best, and can’t handle/accept DTS. You’d need to upgrade from a SonosNet signal Ray to a Sonos ARC receiving device.

In this page it says that in all soundbars (in S2 app) supports PCM Dolby Digital and DTS and also the TOSLINK (optical) supports it, only in the "core" version and express not more like TrueHD (lossless) and I had seen before that some guy was or is able to send audio in DTS 5.1 in his Ray, so I don’t know how he done it. :)

You’re absolutely correct. I suspect that page is incorrect, but your best bet would be to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. They’d be able to give you a definitive answer.

As I said, ‘ don’t think so’, but being certain would be helpful, and you could come back and let us all know.

DTS support was added when the patent expired, last year I think.

However some TVs cannot pass it through, and I recall that LG is on that list.

Thank you Rhonny and all for your answers, now I'm considering about the product above, but for me it is a bit confusing for LG because in them TVs of before (I have a premium signature 2014 LG TV) had that support but I'm considering to contact the support of LG now. Thank you all :)

I’m sure you will have had DTS when playing Blu-rays on your 2014 LG - and I’m sure all LG TVs since then have supported DTS on its internal speakers (or possibly on other external speakers/systems). What I’m talking about is “DTS Passthrough” - that is, the ability for the TV to pass DTS through from an external source (like a Blu-ray player or cable box) via the eARC to the Sonos soundbar. Those LG TVs I mentioned don’t have that facility.

DTS support (not only pass through) has been patchy on LG recently. See LG removes DTS audio from its 2025 TVs – here's what that means in practice | TechRadar

My 2019 Samsung also does not do DTS at all.

The support page is not incorrect.

DTS support was added to Sonos at the end of 2021. Back then, I was able to play DTS on my Playbar, which only has an optical connection.

Oh, this I didn't noticed yet, it's strange before I always saw all in DTS and only a certain things in DD, for example, but now I see the opposite but I will try to wait a new update and contact LG support. :)
