Amp's in surround setup

Hi,

I have 2 Amp's tot support my surround setup.

Once the Amp that is connected to the rear speakers is set to act as the surround set I'm not able to use them as a separate room, both Amp's are assigned tot the same room, playing the same music…

Can I keep the rear and front Amp separated? So they can play independent from each other while not using them in the surround TV setup?

Thanks

Not easily, no. The ‘surround’ setup requires the ‘rear’ Amp to be bonded, which is a different mode of connection than the standard peer to peer. To switch between ‘rear surrounds’ and ‘normal separate rooms’ you’d need to bond / unbond every time, and coincidentally losing any TruePlay settings if you’ve bothered. Most people just set the room settings for their ‘surround’ speakers to ‘full’ rather than ‘ambient’ for music playback.
