Hi
If by “filler” you are referring to TV audio..then that's a non-starter. As has been said there WILL be a delay to those speakers which WILL create an echo effect. So don’t waste your money. You also said….
“I am using a full Sonos front as a home theater.
with 2 x 5’s and a sound bar Beam and sub all in front”
What are the Five’s up front used for...as they cannot be part of a Sonos home theater unless they are used as surrounds. If they are being used as surrounds they are in the wrong location as they should be at the rear on either side of your seated listening/viewing position.
So the question remains….are you looking to augment music or TV audio? The latter (TV audio) as said is a non-starter.
Note:
If by chance you are using the Fives’s as surrounds…do the following
- Move them to the rear as I stated above
- In the Sonos app (for the room) set the Fives to play in full stereo for music. It will place you in the center (so to speak) with music coming from front and rear. They will auto-switch back to surround mode for movies when you’re done.
