Can the Ray be stereo paired with another Sonos speaker (ie a Move)?

No, it can only be bonded with a Sub and/or 2 surround speakers in a Home Theatre set up.

A Move can be stereo paired with another Move though.

Just to add to the answer by @SarahN…neither Moves nor Roams can be used as surrounds. Just in case you might be thinking along those lines 😊.

Thanks…. thats a shame…. maybe the new cheaper base unit will be out soon to go with the Ray..

It was more to do with music rather than TV…. so when the TV wasnt ‘on’ and it acts like a speaker could it be stereo paired>

@tonyroddis - if you were to add a mini sub and surrounds eventually, then they would sound nice in music mode as well as TV mode :)

It isn’t really a shame.  Having the two channels with different sound signatures would probably sound awful.  You could group a Ray and another speaker to play music in perfect sync.  (They wouldn’t sync for TV sound though.)

Thanks everybody for your help…… Its possible that I now know what I’m doing
