LG OLED55C8PLA with Playbar in front - ok?

I’m looking at buying either the LGOLED55C8PLA or LGOLED55E8PLA to use with my existing Sonos surround system. I need to have the playbar sat in front of the screen on the same cabinet top. I’m worried about the bottom of the screen being obstructed by the playbar. Would be grateful for any guidance from anyone with this setup. Thanks

Hey there, steveobb68. It seems that both of those TV's have some clearance but from photos alone, it doesn't seem enough for the Playbar to sit without impacting the bottom of the picture. There could be a few Community members who have a similar TV that could chime in, but I'm curious about what TV you ended up going with.

Hi steveobb68

You have probably made a decision by now; but if not.....

The first link takes you to a review of the LG C8 with dimensions of its stand. The second link takes you to a review of a stand designed for the Playbar. The TV sits on top of the stand.

The Playbar stand has enough depth so no worries there. The width of the Playbar stand for all practical purposes is the same as that of the LG C8's stand. I believe that depth of the Playbar stand will give you enough support. Click the links to decide for yourself.

If interested I opted for the stand shown in the link below for my LG C8 that works perfectly. See picture of my setup in attachment.

Thanks guys for your help. My conclusion in the end was that the C8 (my preference) would definitely not have enough stand height for the playbar to sit in front, without screen obstruction. The E8 would, but in the end I went for the B8 as I couldn't justify the additional £800 for the better processor. Happy so far with the setup, but awaiting Sky Q installation for real picture quality assessment. Cheers, Steve
