Adding ceiling speakers to Sonos HT

I’ve just set up my HT with an Arc, Sub 4 and 2x Era 300’s. It setup as a surround sound system.

I also have two ceiling speakers in the room running off a Sonos amp.

Do I create a group with the surround system and the ceiling speakers or is there a better way to do it to ensure I still get the full surround sound effect?

Do I do another TruePlay setting if I add the ceiling speakers?

Thanks

Since Sonos only allows for one set of surround speakers, the only way to “add” the ceiling speakers would be to group them with the HT system. Just note that this will also downgrade the audio to stereo PCM if you Artie watching something with Dolby Atmos.

I would only recommend this when listening to music.

The AMP and ceiling speakers are a separate “Room” that cannot be incorporated into the surround processing of ARC. You can “Group” the AMP Room with ARC Room when listening to music, but Grouping while watching TV will incur an awkward time offset.
