TV swap volume issue with Ace Ultra and Arc, plus question about Spatial Audio?

When switching from TV swap back to TV audio the Sonos system does not to go to the previous volume level.

So for example im listening to on my Sonos Arc and set the volume to 1 of 100, then I turn on the Ace Ultra and use TV swap, listen on the headphones then later I turn off TV swap or turn off the Ace Ultra, as soon as the audio goes back to the Arc The volume is now 30 of 100, blasting instant loud sound through the house!

This kinda defeats the purpose of TV swap because when it's turned off the soundbar goes full ham and blasts loud sounds through the house

hope this is just a bug that can be fixed by Sonos? The Soundbar should remember the volume it's set at and not go to some random high volume when TV swap from the Ace Ultra is disconnected

Now I have a question too - when watching a movie from streaming service or Blu-ray that has Atmos audio, should I use Spatial Audio on the Ace Ultra? The headphones are receiving Atmos audio from the Arc, does it pass through surround audio automatically or must Spatial Audio be enabled for Atmos to play correctly? I'm asking because I've tested the Ace Ultra with Spatial Audio on and off and dialogue is not as clear with Spatial Audio on

Also a PSA for other potential Ace Ultra buyers - TV swap drains the battery quite fast , I guess because it's using wifi it is more power hungry than Bluetooth. I get 40 hours battery from Bluetooth audio but if I enable TV swap which uses wifi, battery drops to just 10 hours

I don’t have that volume issue with the Ace Ultra with TV swap and didn’t have it with the OG Ace unlike some people. I wonder if it’s down to the TV make. So cannot offer any advice here. The Soundbar remembers it’s volume when switched back and the Ace’s volume is fine when switched to it (ultra and OG version).

Regarding the battery and Wi-Fi, it would use more with Wi-Fi and the 35 hours stated are for BT only so that would be expected.

Sorry cannot be of much further help

I just can confirm what @SarahN already said and add one more thing… for me sometimes (haven’t figured out yet in which situation exactly) the app is asking me for the tv volume level I‘d like to have after swapping back to tv.

This is how the OG Ace works for me. I haven’t set my Ace Ultra up yet.

If I use the button on the Ace to swap, it uses defaults of volume 60 when swapped to Ace audio, and TV volume 15 (of 50% max) when swapped back. If using the app to swap, it ends up with volume 60 when swapped to Ace, and the previous TV volume, which can be adjusted, when swapping back. Using Beam 2.

I have the Beam 2 also and this is how mine works and also how the OG Ace worked. Perfectly fine as my TV audio is always around 14 - 16 anyway and 60 on the Aces is totally acceptable and is the volume I use when using BT with my phone.
