Hi all,

 

I recently bought the Sonos arc + sonos one (gen 2).

Just added the sonos 1 to play as a rear speaker and want to play together but right now its just either or..

Anyone know how to have the choice thru Google asst to play all?

first to get the details of your situation clear:

  • do you have an Arc with 2 Sonos Ones or just 1 Sonos One? the usual rear speaker configuration is with a pair so i’m not sure if it will work at all (definitely not optimal if at all).
  • did you follow these instructions for adding the surround(s)?

if you have the pair and configured as noted then you should have the home theater portion configured correctly.  if this is so and you want all of the speakers to play music at the same “volume” there is an option described here; scroll down to the “Troubleshooting quiet surround audio when listening to music” section.

if you only have one Sonos One for a rear the best you most likely can do is set it up as an individual speaker and Group it with the Arc as described here.
