so after my third time doing this I thought I would ask…. Every time I add my sonos arc to my sonos system and then add the google assistant, it goes offline a short while later - and there is no fix other than to factory reset.  I realize that sonos are no longer supporting google on new devices as they can’t seem to play nice together, however this did work fine until I moved to my new house.  In the old house we were in due to displacement by wildfire, I only had the arc.   Google worked fine on it.  So we rebuilt after the fire and moved in 3 weeks ago and I got a bunch of new sonos stuff to fill the new house - but now, as I said, I add the arc to my system, its fine everything works.  Then I add google assistant and it goes offline - it works for a little while, not sure how long, but in the morning I come down and it's offline.  Not only offline, there is no fix for it other than to factory reset.  I added it again yesterday, didn’t add google assistant and this morning it is still there, working fine.  The problem is that I need google assistant working on the arc.  I have a pretty minimalist design and I don’t want to have an extra google device.  I guess I will engage sonos if no one has any ideas, but just wanted to put this out there as it seems pretty weird.

Thanks

Bill

Hi @wddossett

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues getting Google Assistant to work on your Sonos Arc. This does sound like a strange issue, I’ve not heard of a device locking up after adding a voice assistant.

If a reboot doesn’t work and the only fix is to factory reset, then I’d definitely recommend reaching out to our support team to troubleshoot this issue with them. Since you’ve factory reset your Arc, all the diagnostics information will have been deleted. I would suggest not adding Google Assistant just for a diagnostic unless our support team ask you to do that as it’s better to leave the Arc in a workable state until you’re troubleshooting with them.

I hope this helps!
