Lack of Google Assistant/Gemini in Poland – time to switch brands?

Hi,

Just bringing up the ongoing lack of Google Assistant (and now Gemini) support on Sonos in Poland. It’s no longer just a minor issue—it’s a real dealbreaker. I don’t even need Polish language support; English would be completely fine.

Because of this regional block, my smart home integration is basically useless. I love how Sonos sounds, but I’m seriously considering replacing my entire home audio architecture with a brand where voice assistants actually work.

Are there any updates on this? What do you recommend?

Not sure this is on Sonos or Google, but it seams strange you can get GA in Germany and the Netherlands, but not in Poland.

As a work around, could you install SVC? Or possibly Alexa?

Thanks for the reply! I actually have both SVC and Alexa available, but neither is a great workaround:

- SVC has been pretty unreliable lately—it frequently plays the wrong tracks or misses commands entirely. It honestly feels like it’s regressed over time.

- Alexa constantly tries to push Amazon Music instead of my default service.

The frustrating part is that Gemini works amazingly well in my Ford Kuga via Android Auto. I just want that exact same level of smart, seamless voice control at home on my Sonos system.

I really don't understand why GA is supported by Sonos in some EU countries but blocked in others. It makes no sense.
