The “deal” is that Google Assistant is not supported on those speakers. To “resolve” this, there’s not much to suggest other than “accept this”.  Sorry, but Sonos does support other voice control options for those speakers.

Sonos has become such an irrelevant company.  All they do is move backwards.  No wonder they are in financial crisis.  The best thing that could ever happen to them is they get bought by a competent company.  Google works on half of their products, what a joke, wonder why everyone else can get this to work.  They blame Google, “They have changed their requirements.”  Why doesn’t Sonos just tell the truth and tell everyone it is because they are in a lawsuit with Google.  Seriously, has Sonos done anything relevant in the last few years besides the Arc Ultra?  The company has become quite laughable.

Wow, I didn’t know that. But it seems that Sonos won the first suit and Google had to pay 32,5 million dollars to Sonos. After that Google counter with other suits.

Without knowing the details, my support always to the small fish.

Yeah, but that 32.5 got reversed and now the case is revived again.  Anyways, it is the consumers who pay the price and Sonos has had so many setbacks.  The whole app debacle and the extreme turnover at the executive level.  I have been the biggest supporter of Sonos for the past 10 to 15 years.  However, I have purchased my last Sonos product.  I run Google Home and Google Assistant and these technologies appear to be far too complicated for Sonos now.  Sonos has faced mass layoffs and is in serious financial trouble.

Thanks for the responses. Think I’m going to have to punt two of my Sonos speakers and go to something else.
