Question

google assistant and timer not sounding

Google Assistant timers on Beam are created and count down correctly but make no completion sound. Google Assistant alarms on the same Beam sound normally. Issue persists after removing and re-adding Google Assistant. Is there a bug? It was working fine until a few weeks ago, I haven’t touched any settings.

Not really sure. Since some of them (or parts) seem to be working, I’d suggest you call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I’ve also read reports about Google Assistant set alarm that do not sound at all, so there might be more amiss at Google. Since Sonos can at least be spoken to indeed contact them first.

Also having this issue! (For a couple weeks now). And did the same things as OP, removed/re-added google assistant, unplugged everything, etc. Also updated my Sonos app today, and updated the system - I tested the alarm afterwards and it worked once, now it’s not working again.

I certainly hope you’ve generated a diagnostic, and called in, providing Sonos more data so they can track this issue properly, and figure out if it is a Sonos, or Google issue.

Same response. Hope you’ve provided diagnostic data to Sonos for research.
