I hope this helps.
Now I'm totally confused.
Happy but confused.
Yesterday morning I started wondering if maybe my wifes phone (which has another google account) could perhaps add the assistant via her account. On her phone the exact same thing occured. The sonos app on her phone would try to launch GoogleAssistant. Then fail and stay inside the Sonos App until it times out and say to Try Again.
I gave her phone back. About 10 to 20 minutes later I was doing just another attempt on my screen (desperation) and now suddenly it allowed me to add the speamer on my S24.
So Google Assistant is working now on the SonosMove.
I will definitely keep this page handy for future references. But currently I wont dare to remove Google account completely and restart going through the steps you mentioned because if I dont succeed, I none of my 5 speakers will have GoogleAssistant working then. My wife would have my head!!!
A lot of thanks.
Ps: Any words yet from new C.E.O. to finally bury the hatches with Google and continue forward on putting Google Assistant/Gemini on the ERA speakers?
