My S2 controller for PC has a black background with dark grey sliders to grab and scroll through the song titles.  I can hardly see the dark grey sliders due to lack of color contrast against the black background.  I see that this has been a complaint on here for a decade, yet the controller’s skin color  is still nearly unreadable.  What is the solution for this S2 controller problem?

I don’t think this is going to change, I;m afraid.  Sonos stopped developing the PC/Mac controllers years ago.  The solution is the mobile app and voice control.

I use both PC controller and the iPhone controller.  Sonos updates both of them constantly.  Though I never notice any changes or improvements after an update.

The PC controller differs in a few respects:

PC has a feature where I can drag & drop to reorder the songs in a queue.  I do not see the mobile app allows this.

Those ‘features’ you speak of have been long time aspects of the PC controller, they are not ‘new’ in any way.

Grouping on the mobile app can be done as normal, see the FAQ here.

As @John B has stated, the only effort being put in to the two desktop apps (Mac and Windows) is bug fixes and not function updates. They’ve stripped out all ‘setup’ functions as well.

That is because drag and drop is not commonly used on mobile devices, whereas it is on computers, where it is easy because of the mouse.  This is purely about different physical solutions For different devices, not an omission of a function.

As @Airgetlam has pointed out, I said that Sonos has stopped developing the computer apps.  It still does bug fixes and security updates, so as to maintain functionality for as long as possible.
