Rearranging Services

I want to be able to rearrange my services on the home page of the app. The services I use most are at the end and I have to scroll over to them each time. This has been brought up a number of times before.

Since the only two options when posting are "ask a question," and "it is a conversation," I guess I'll make it a question smh...why can't I rearrange my services on the home page of the app?

Here’s what I’ve verified about Your Services:

  1. Sonos arranges the services in alphabetical order with exceptions
  2. The exception to #1 is that Sonos will place Sonos Radio as the Preferred Service upon initial setup and/or when the app is deleted and re-installed
  3. To correct #2 you must go to “Manage” and select your preferred service which will then be first on the list
  4. After #2 and/or #3 are satisfied all other services will be in alphabetical order
  5. If you have a voice assistant installed like Alexa you can ask it to play the service you want assuming it’s way down on the list as the OP has indicated *
  6. Unfortunately, I can’t verify/reproduce what @Jamie A has suggested regarding most used moving to (or near) the front of the list

The OP’s request is one that I would welcome as well; although not a top priority on my list

 * Although Alexa will fetch the requested service it may not play the music in Lossless when available. I can confirm that Apple Music will not be played as such however Spotify will play in Lossless.  Lack of Lossless playback is not a Sonos issue; but how Alexa has been approved to access the service.

Wish there was a feature request posting option, think that is what this will end up if a moderator picks it up.

HI @noo, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Your music services should sort themselves to show your most used to least used service from left to right. However, it does seem that if you remove and re-add the service, it’ll be on the right as one of your least used services. I do agree that manually adjusting your added services on the home page, especially in situations like the one I mentioned, would be better than just waiting for it to align itself.

I’ve forwarded this to the team as a feature request for their consideration. If you have any further suggestions or feedback, please feel free to share them here on the community!

As I recall, previous versions allowed the user to expand the list, then drag to reorder.

They do not sort by most used.

Mine are alphabetical with the exception of “Your Preferred Service”.  I see no way to expand then drag a service up the list.  There would need to be an Edit button.
