Apple Music Crossfade Loud Bug

When using Apple Music service from the Sonos App, if crossfade its on, between the songs the volume increases very fast to like 100% for half a second. So for me Crossfade its unusable.

Also I would love if the sonos app could have more features for the Apple Music service or if music could be played high quality from within the Apple Music app like in Spotify but I think thats on Apple’s behalf.

Sonos support does not usually respond to or log issues reported here. Issues reported to phone support will be logged. If an issue is reported a sufficient number of times (and I don’t know what “sufficient”. Is) the issue will be forwarded to the development team.

i’ll note that there have been several similar events reported in the last couple weeks. I suggest that you record a video demonstrating one of these events along with submitting a diagnostic taken within 10 minutes of an event.

FYI…. No such issues with streaming Lossless AppleMusic. The genre was “smooth jazz”. See below for station and that Crossfade is active and Lossless.

Playing on stereo pair nor with grouped stereo pairs. Speakers involved are: 

  • Era 300 x 2 with sub
  • Play x 2
