Hello @calvin_michael, welcome to the Sonos Community!
I’ve marked this thread as a feature request and forwarded it to the appropriate teams for consideration.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, it is much appreciated!
I hope this helps.
If you’re looking to adjust volume on multiple rooms that are in a group, rather than bringing up only the Volume only window, it is currently better to use the Grouping window which also allows volume adjustment. You can adjust the volume of all the respective rooms and the Grouping window stays visible until you swipe it away, compared to the Volume only window which disappears after 3secs of inactivity.
Yeah, I did figure that route out after posting. It’s an extra step to get there and an extra step to get out.
We still have ourselves an unsolved mystery as to whooooo is benefiting from the 3 second volume screen disappearing act and why it’s still around 😆. I find it very hard to believe that a majority of users are into it. Or perhaps I’ve found the single most impressive thing that 12/12 people I know (with Sonos) can all agree on. Crossing generations, genders, and politics haha. 🎯
Since you are changing volume on different speakers in a group, it seams logical you need the group tab, even if it is one click more.
I tried getting a three second volume bar but I’m not sure what you mean. When I open the Sonos app there’s always one speaker at the bottom of my screen on which I can change the volume. This button stays on my screen (no three second timer) until I pull up the button and select another speaker. The button representing the other speaker then stays at the bottom of my screen and I can always change the volume on that. On what volume button do you get a three second timer?
I only see the timeout on the individual Rooms volume sliders when I Group and tap the Group volume slider.
I do not see any timeout when accessing the Room volume sliders from the Group screen.
