It’s disappointing that SONOS acknowledges that you cannot select a Group for an Alarm and instead instructs you to pick a Room and select Include Grouped Rooms. What if that Room is part of more than one Group?? The easier, more intuitive option would be to allow you to choose a Group for the Alarm, right? And here is an additional issue I’m having with Include Grouped Rooms - a speaker that is not “included” in a room that is selected for an Alarm, comes on with that Alarm intermittently..? Worst part of the issue is - it’s a 6AM Alarm that comes on in the bedroom when it shouldn’t. That only heightens my frustration with this lack of feature/function when that happens. Thanks for considering this enhancement.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with the Sonos Alarms when used for grouped rooms within your Sonos system.
Allow me to explain and provide a bit more information:
What if that Room is part of more than one Group??
Each Room (Speaker) can be part of just one Group. It is not possible to have a Room be part of multiple different Groups within the Sonos App.
If you check “Include Grouped Rooms”, the alarm will play in the Rooms that are grouped together at the time the alarm goes off. It does not play in the Rooms that were grouped when the alarm was originally added to the Sonos System.

There might be a connection issue specific to that Room (speaker). I would recommend a quick network refresh by rebooting the affected speaker.
Worst part of the issue is - it’s a 6AM Alarm that comes on in the bedroom when it shouldn’t.
An alarm will go off in a Room only if it is set to within the Sonos App. Either as a Room targeted by an alarm or as a member of a Group that has a different member/Room targeted by an alarm and the option to Include Grouped Rooms is active.
If you can please provide a bit more information or explain the use-case so that I can mark this thread as a feature request and forward it internally.
