I see there have been several users with the same problems as me on this. The option to use Atmos is Greyed out on the Sound options of my LG C1 TV,
Does the C1 not support Atmos ??
My output is set to HDMI ARC and the DTV settings sets to Auto.

According to ratings dot com it supports Atmos over Dolby digital plus and to enable eArc
To enable eARC, go to Select HDMI Input Audio Format and choose 'Bitstream'. Then set Digital Sound Output to 'Auto' and toggle eARC Support.
Well I don’t know if I am on old Firmware - but I don’t have a “Select HDMI Input Audi Format” option on the Audio menu (or any other menu) on the TV.

Thanks - yeah thats the first place I looked - it's not in there. So unless its in some sort of Engineer level hidden menu - then I have no idea where I meant to find that setting!
Only other thing i can think of is checking CEC is on that’s under general external devices HDMI SETTINGS on my G4
