Sonos speakers not showing in Spotify app

Hi,

This has not previously been an issue for me but since i switched phone (OnePlus 7 on Android 11 to OnePlus 11 on Android 13) a week ago i have had issues with my Sonos speakers not appearing in my Spotify app.

I can usually fix the issue by reauthorizing my Spotify app in Sonos S2 but this is quite irritating to have to do on a daily basis.

Ive tried most things i can think of. Reconnecting my speakers, power cycles, uninstall and reinstall app...nothing seems to give me a permanent fix.

No network changes has been performed.

Pls help!

 

Edit.

I just pulled out my old OnePlus 7t on Android 12. It had been reset to stock, so loggede into Google account and installed the Spotify app. Straight away all my Sonos speakers appeared in the app.

 

So my best guess is that the issue is isolated to my new phone with Android 13, OnePlus 11.

 

Anyone with similar experience?

    Hi @DPE1983,

    Since you’re only seeing this issue on the one controller, it would appear the issue is likely due to settings or something on the network preventing your OnePlus 11 from seeing the Sonos speakers in the Spotify app.

    I’d suggest making sure your OnePlus 11 has all the required Sonos app permissions allowed. I’d also recommend checking if there are any Spotify app permissions that may be denied on your controller.

    If permissions look fine, then I’d suggest reaching out to our support team for further assistance as they have the tools necessary to help troubleshoot this with you.

    Hello, just bought this week a Sonos Arc, and I encounter the exact same issue: the Sonos Arc doesn’t show up in my Spotify app (I am in Oxygen 13.1). I rebooted the router and the Arc, and still nothing. 

    Can you help with this?

    Same here, using samsung S23+ on Android 13. Sonos devices cannot be found in Spotify app. Pretty annoying...

    What fixed for me was going to settings > wifi > wifi assistant then turn on dual wifi acceleration. Connect to the same secondary network as your primary network

    What fixed for me was going to settings > wifi > wifi assistant then turn on dual wifi acceleration. Connect to the same secondary network as your primary network. Hope this helps as even with oxygen os 13.1 the issue wasn't fixed. 

    I've recently switched to a OnePlus 11 and have experienced the issue with my Sonos devices not appearing on Spotify.

    However Djhillyd's solution seems to have worked for me.

    Thanks dude, you've saved me the pain of having to use Spotify via the Sonos app. 🙂🙂

    Unfortunately for me, Sonos is now no longer showing as an available device. 😑

    Anyone found an equivalent setting for Samsung S23s? There is no entry in settings for WiFi assistant.

    I have the same issue with my ultra 23 and it is honestly making me consider changing. I honestly cant take the admin anymore.  I reset spotify. Beam not discoverable. I rest sonos. Reload beam. Sonos works with spotify. Go into spotify to listen through beam. Beam not discoverable again. I go in sono and reauthroise account. Not working. Go through all settings make sure they are ALL set to the right thing on BOTH apps. Still not working. I never had this issue on previous phones and I'm so tired of trying to fix this everytime I want to listen to music.
