Controllers & Music Services

This morning I pushed “Accept”, because I wanted to use the SONOS system that I’ve invested thousands of dollars in over the last 20 years. As the courageous folks at SONOS intended, there is no real choice, and they are foisting something on us. Now my SONOS MOVE is bricked. Why, SONOS? Why? ( It’s courage right? Right?!)

Hello all.The Sonos MacOS desktop app is broken. It connects to the system but then goes into a loop of re-connecting and not finding the system. I re-installed it and all.Any idea on how to fix this?

I was able to add my new Era300 via the iOS controller app.  I can group the new speaker manually by holding play/pause but I cannot play music to the speaker from the app, it just continually goes to the next song until the end of the playlist. My other speakers are working as they should.I saw the workaround to transfer the network to myself, which I did but I was not having an issue with the app crashing, as it added the speaker to my network without issue.

As a certified Sonos dealer of 10 plus years how can I continue to recommend a product to my clients that I can't even get to work properly. I have never in my 30 years of being in the AV industry run into an app so bad. I would love to speak to someone about how to correct these issues for my clients who have trusted me over the years.   Joseph Lively*Synch AV LLCHook Ups Plus*Moderator Note: Removed telephone number for customer privacy*

Sonos system stuck on SoundCloud playlist, doesn't allow me to switch to my Apple Music

Five years worth of carefully curated playlists for our business (bar & restaurant) are all missing.  We spend countless hours constructing our playlists song by song, to ensure the bpm’s match our vibe, or the specific holiday or event we’re celebrating.  Customers are all aware something is not right, and it’s affecting our business.  Please tell us when these will be restored, or we will have to scrap the entire system and go to another brand - it’s that important.

The controller on my Mac v.16.2) was working until a few days ago and then I got "system not found". So I have slowly been going thru the steps listed. This morning I checked to make sure that the speakers were in fact "turned on". When I hit the play button, music began playing. I assume this was from the last service I played before the "system not found" alert. So if music is playing, how can the App not find the system which is in fact "there".Also, v.80.02.04 on my iPhone is still not connecting.Any explanation?

SYSTEM INSTALLED 5 YRS AGO. THROUGHOUT HOME. AND OUTSIDE(POOL).UNABLE TO PLAY ALL SPEAKERS THROU SYSTEM

App asks me to create new system on starting up each day. Worked out that if I sign out and sign back in I can access. Is there an easy thing I'm missing to stop this issue. Until recently my wife just opened her tablet and got it on but now she has to remind me to switch the radio on & if I'm out she can't access

Hi, lately I upgrade mu sonos App and It became some problem. Now, for 2 days, I had not internet connection.. It was impossible to listen mu personal music on mu Nas. It was Always right till now.How It Is possibile? Sorry for my bad english.Dave

Moderator edit:Google Translate- Since the new update there is a real problem with alarms on Sonos (which was the main functionality for using this speaker):Every day I receive a notification of old alarms, now deprogrammed, impo

The new app doesn't show the two most used features of the Sonos ecosystem. - Alarms- TrueplayWith the new app I can't turn on or off my Alarms. Frustrating. With the new app and the new firmware update. My previous Trueplay setup dissapeared and I don't see the option to turn it on again. (Android)

Hi,Hopefully there is a fix on the horizon, since it appears that I cannot install the previous version  The new app is very laggy and intermittent.  Issues seen:Push pause/stop, it doesn’t stop until pushed a second time. Volume - slide it up or down, it takes seconds to actually do the change Search not nearly as simple as the previous version 3 times I’ve gotten service not available, then I reboot, retry and it works.  The way to interact with the new app is (to me) much more convoluted than the previous version.  I’d gladly trade the graphics for the previous, more streamlined version.Thx.

Is there a way to remove a service that is no longer available on SONOS? The service appears in my list of services, but when I try to remove it, I receive a warning Service not found and therefore it is not deleted. Of course I added the service time ago when it was available. The service is radio.net.Interestingly the service no longer appears in the SONOS web app, but still in the SONOS iPadOS app. I deleted the app and reinstalled it with no change.

Yes, I know the new app is terrible - see other posts. My question: I would like to install firmware updates for my devices, but the new app does not seem to have a “check for updates” button.I still have the old app on my PC, so I use that for most things while I wait for a working controller. But for now I don’t  want to update my PC controller. Unfortunately “update” on the pc controller wants to update the controller which I will not do.Is there a way to update the system now?

Does Sonos amp, support you tube music app , I heart app and Apple Music ?

SONOS, may I (be so bold as to) suggest that you look at any and all, libraries on the sever side and client side (the app). Or any other code which is a pre-requisite for your code, for 'SMB 1 specific functions/operations'.

For some reason Sonos is telling me I am no longer the system owner

I have a WD ‘MyCloud NAS drive and am unable to connect to Sonos as I believe I should be able to. I am unable to discern the correct path I can ‘see’ the drive on Plex, but would like access directly through Sonos… Cheers

I am really disgusted. I have 10 sonos products and the new app is nothing but problems.

I just noticed that there was a Sonos app on Android update.  The icon is now black and functionality has changed.    You can see in the screenshot below they are slightly visible but greyed out.  This was right after I rebooted my routers and phone.

I want to exit someone else's Sonos system.I joined someone else's existing Sonos system, and now I want to set up my own Sonos system. However, I can't exit the current system, and I can't find the relevant option in the Sonos Android app.

Where can I find “Play next” “Play last” “Add to end  of queue” functions?

I have a speaker pair on which I previously could adjust left and right balance.  With the the new app update I cannot adjust left and right balance !!! So my speakers are stuck with the balance towards the right speaker which I use when I work at my desk.  Please tell me how to adjust balance with app new update or explain how to go back to previous version. This is not acceptable. The whole update is clunky and hard to use.  Also it seems the app is pushing you to use Sonos music services.  And it feels like you are bing pushed to use Voice App.I have spent $$$ on speakers to listen to my music.  The app should let me do that easily and seamlessly.
