Dipped my toes into the Sonos pool yesterday with a pair of Era 100 speakers.

They are used in a study and primarily to play our YouTube Music subscription(s) (we have a family plan).

Adding YT music subscription as a source was pretty straight forward, adding a child account wasn't quite so obvious but got there in the end.

Something I've noticed is that on both my daughters iPhone and my Samsung, in the Sonos app there is a drop-down option in YT music to choose which YT music account to use (hers or mine) however in the iPad app there is no such option (that I can find). Anyone have a similar setup and know if it's hiding somewhere on the iPad?

Hello @tb123, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with selecting multiple accounts on YouTube Music on the Sonos App.

I was unable to reproduce this though, let’s try a few basic Sonos App troubleshooting steps:

  • Make sure the Sonos App is up to date.
  • Reset the App and when you launch it again, make sure to tap “Join Existing System".
  • You can also uninstall and re-install from our Download Sonos page.
  • A reboot on your iPad could also help.

If you are still having this issue, you could screenshot or screen capture to point out the missing option to choose the different accounts and contact our Support Team for further troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I just went to go and reset the app as suggested, but before I did, noticed that I do now have the option to switch between accounts. That has appeared overnight without me doing anything.

FYI, the iPad was the device that setup the account / system to start with, the other devices “joined” it. The iPhone was the device that added the YT Music child account that was immediately visible on the iPhone, Samsung phone and web app but not the iPad for some reason. Seems it took a while to sync that setting? Anyway, all good now.
