Hi

I have been trying for quite a while to update my Sonos Windows App on my Windows 11 device but just keeps on failing.

I have submitted a diagnostics

Is anyone in the Sonos community able to help?

In the app it doesnt show anything under error log either so I have got nothing to help my self troubleshoot myself.

All updates are applied to my Win 11 machine.

I can answer any other questions if it helps.

Thanks

Moderator Note: Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

What are the error messages?

For future reference, don’t post diagnostic confirmations here. Public Community members cannot access diagnostics and SONOS corporate feels that public posting creates a security risk. Community moderators don’t need and will edit the number.

What happens if you delete the old version and install the new one?

https://support.sonos.com/en-us/downloads

This is the latest version, which version are you on now?

Sonos_90.0-68190.exe

On my Windows 10 the update always says it failed.  It did not fail.  The settings options that were grayed out prior to the update work after the update.  Guess that means the update worked.

The Windows installer will often say it failed to find an update after doing an update. This is, sadly, normal, just an erroneous report, nothing is wrong.

I done some more troubleshooting on my side and think the issue is with the AV software I have on my device preventing Windows Installer from running which is what the Sonos App uses to upgrade and install. So have raised it with them but hopefully an FYI for anyone who sees something similar.
