Will AirPlay work with Play:1 if i have it in the same room as Beam (1st Generation)?

I have an old set of Play:1’s in my living room that sound great but I am frustrated at the lack of AirPlay.

In my media room I have a Sonos Beam (1st Gen) and two Sonos Ones. AirPlay accesses that room just fine.

It just occurred to me: if I swap the two speaker pairs and have the Play:1s paired with the Beam in my media room, would Airplay then work with all three speakers?

Thanks so much.

I hate to have to ask but "two Sonos Plays" would that be Play 1s, 3s or 5s?

Surrounds don't do anything but play sound sent by the main unit.

If you have a non-surround Sonos with Airplay you could Group it with the rest.

Not your fault you aren't the marketing genius that picked confusing names.

Glad it is working.
