I’ve got a Sonos One SL (Model 922). It connects wirelessly to both my iPad (OS18.4.1) and iPhone (OS 18.4.1). I can stream music from either idevice (not at the same time). So far so good. I’ve also got a Mac Mini M2 (OS 15.4.1) I am unable to wirelessly connect the mini to the speaker. The Sonos S1 Controller app (updated to latest) won’t find it after pushing the button on the speaker. I had it Ethernetted at one point, however I want a WiFI connection (I did factory reset before connecting to idevices). Mini is ethernetted to router and also on house WiFI. What is the magic to wirelessly connect speaker to mini? BTW, I tried adding the S1 controller app to the firewall to allow all incoming connections (per instructions), however that disappears. It seems the Mini doesn’t like the S1 controller app.

Hello @DesertRatR, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues connecting to your S1 Sonos system with your Mac Mini M2.

We are currently investigating this issue and working on a fix but with no ETA to share for it.

There are a few troubleshooting steps / workarounds that you can try out, I will list them below:

  • Ensure that local network permissions are on:

    • Navigate on your Mac Mini to Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.

    • Scroll to Local Network On.

    • Scroll to Sonos and ensure it is toggled on.

  •  Ensure that private addresses are turned off.

    • Go to Settings → Wi-Fi, then tap the Settings button for a network.

    • Turn Private Address off.

  • Reinstall the S1 Sonos app on your Mac Mini M2.

    • Uninstall the S1 Sonos app.

    • Reboot the iOS controller, in this case your Mac Mini M2.

    • Reinstall and reconnect to the S1 Sonos app. You can download it from our official page Download the Sonos App.

If you are still experiencing this issue or need assistance in any of the steps above, feel free to reach out to our Support Team for live troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Turning off private settings solved the problem, allowing the controller to find the speaker. Once the speaker was found I was able to change the private settings back on and the still controller worked properly.
