What about fixing Mixcloud on the new app, empty playlists, empty list of followers, empty list of everything almost..

 

I’m curious - if you are an Apple user, what are the advantages of using the Sonos App Mixcloud service vs using the native Mixcloud App and AirPlay? I have always used the native App with AirPlay.

Because now I have all my music services in one (previously easy to use...) app.

The Mixcloud native App is as easy, if not easier to use than the Sonos Mixcloud service has ever been, and the native App has more functionality, eg live streams, video etc

I use an android phone, but I can't connect a device without using the app.


@Corry P ​@Jamie A is there any update on this? It’s been nearly a year since your product has been unusable for the 10 stores I use it at and you have been aware of the issues for at least 6 months per this thread.

Nothing helps.

Being at this end of a very old issue is frustrating.

But I stand by my decision to tell them.

If 4000 users said that, maybe it would get resolved faster then “whenever we can be bothered". 🙂


I suspect there are many issues, chief amongst them being restoring previous app features, that are rating higher than this.  Although I share your frustration when a feature you used to use extensively goes AWOL.  Alphabetized search is my particular bug bear!


'Mixcloud not playing through Sonos' 

 


I am completely done with Sonos! After many attempts to explain IT IS NOT A MIXCLOUD PROBLEM. Today I sold all my Sonos crap, since now they also f*@-ed up the Sonos app on the desktop, I always listen to various Mixcloud mixes and now suddenly they are ‘incorrectly decoded’ 

Sold 4 ports, 2 connects and 2 moves. Moving to WiiM, better sound quality half the price. And yes they do not (yet) have native Mixcloud support, so I’ll stream, I’ll take that for granted. so done with Sonos.

@Djbigmike I feel sorry for you man, after a year of no progress on the mixcloud issue. I believe you have a lot of Sonos in various locations (gym or so). Don’t know if you have Ubiquity Unify network gear, than the new Unify Amp would be perfect for you. Have a look, maybe it helps to get out of this terrible squeeze. You still have to stream your mixcloud though.. But has Airplay and spotify connect. I have a lot of unify equipment, perfect! Always works. 

 

I am amazed that people still buy sonos second hand 🙂, My ports were gone in a day for a resonable good price.


@Corry P guys it’s been EIGHT months since this thread started and longer that it hasn’t been working. Is there ANY update???

I find humor in this…using the SonoPhone or SonoPad app…Mixcloud and Souncloud works flawlessly… must be a Sonos issue..again.
