Try restarting the app until the volume slider appears again.

Just a quick question, or two. Is there any volume control/slider showing? And what device is your controller running on?

If a restart of the app doesn’t fix it, dig in the app and find “check for updates”. Portable speakers often miss updates that other devices take (cos they are sleeping), and when there is a mismatch the app breaks.
