Hi @Llcoolj40
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with adding Podcasts to the queue on an Android controller.
What service are you using, please? Is it BBC Sounds?
Hi,
I mainly use the Pocket Casts service/app.
Thanks
Lee
Hi @Llcoolj40
Thanks.
I have just added our Pocket Casts test account to my system and could replicate your reported issue - podcasts will play, but I cannot add one to the end of the queue. I have reported the problem - thanks for flagging!
OK, so fixed by the end of the day then?
It is good to know that it wasn’t something I was doing.
Thanks
Lee
100% this is a major problem with the Android app.
I’ve got 3 play 1s, 2 in stereo mode in the living room and 1 upstairs. They’re all running off sonosnet on the s2 app - yes I’ve given it another go!
I have an iPhone and although the s2 app can lag sometimes it’s generally not too bad on iOS, apart from slow loading of tracks (but we all know that’s because of the wrong paths the developers have gone down). My main issue is with the BBC Sounds Sonos app. On iOS I can add content from BBC Sounds to the queue without issues. BUT…….what is going on with the android version of S2 app!? I’ve tried on my wife’s pixel and one of my kid’s Samsung phones. The adding to queue on BBC Sounds is totally broken. Doesn’t work at all on Android (BBC Sounds). The pixel is running the latest version of android and the Samsung as well. Why is the Android version of Sonos S2 so terrible? Why can the same functionality not work at all on the android version? This basic functionality on Android has been broken since the introduction of the new Sonos app. Is there a good explanation why the developers haven’t fix this yet? The developers are fully aware this is broken but have yet to fix it. I mean no update to this thread a month ago isn’t great! I’ve tried rolling back to S1 and this functionality works. Therefore it is just a problem with the new app. Also the general performance of the S2 app on Android is poor, much slower in scrolling and super slow in general, the same issue on pixel 9 as it is on a basic Samsung device. The app appears to not be optimised at all on Android.
I would only recommend Sonos for iOS users. The Android controller is pretty terrible.
The queue functions are slowly rolling out to users. It could be your Android are just last in line.
So adding to a queue is still missing? Thanks for the response. Yep same issue on multiple different android devices when trying on my Sonos s2 setup, but no issues with iOS.
