Anyone’s Sonos app stop just stop working? Asking to update and finds speaker but wont connect. Why, tell me why Sonos HAS to use WIFI instead of Bluetooth. It creates all sorts of problems.

Are you seriously stating that you purchased Sonos knowing that it is designed to use Wi-Fi and now you’re asking why it doesn’t use Bluetooth? You must be joking. 😂
To answer your question about Bluetooth (BT)….It doesn’t support whole home audio as a codec. BT is a peer-to-peer connection or what you might call 1 to 1 or source to client/receiver.
Sonos products such as the Roam or Roam 2, Move or Move 2 and products released as of 2023 such as the Era 300, Era 100 and most recently the Arc Ultra are able to receive a Bluetooth signal. Those speakers in turn can send the BT signal to other non-BT Sonos speakers via Grouping (over Wi-Fi) such as a Play 5, Five, Play 1, Play 3 or Sonos One. However, a BT signal cannot be used to sync/stream music across Sonos speakers on its own. That requires Wi-Fi.
