Hi I am having issues with my S1 app and my play 5 Gen 1. I have tried connecting the play 5 to the S2 app but it telling me that it is not compatible and when I now try to open the S1 app it move to the S2. Can I connect the play 5 to the new controller or how do I get the S1 app to work. Clearly there has been some upgrades that have put a spanner in the works?

Do you also have S2 compatible speakers in your home? If so force close the S2 app and leave the S1 app open. Factory reset the Play 5 and read it to the S1 app.


It might help, in that situation, to temporarily unplug the S2 devices, at least till you can connect properly using S1.
