I used Tunein on Sonos just yesterday.  Now none of my stations are working.  I updated everything and still nothing.  What’s going on?

I did notice the same experience this morning when I updated to the latest Firmware (Build 80.07.03 release+20240819).  It looks like the issue is related to previous favorites saved - I noticed that the links that did not work indicated “Tunein Station” vs “Sonos Radio Station” (I saw duplicates in my stations and realized the Tunein ones were the culprits).  I ended up removing the Tunein stations from my favorites and readding them back in and this seems to have done the trick (I had to search through Tunein to add them back).  However, not 100% positive that this is the root cause.

Hey!  Thank you for your help here.  I couldn’t figure out how to remove the Tunein stations after I removed the Sonos Favorites.  So I just removed the Service and reauthorized it.  That did it!  WHEW!  Many thanks for your help.

Excellent - glad it worked out for you!!

I’ve had similar issues where stations just stop working. Have had to re-authorize twice in past 2-3 days.  I didn’t delete anything.

I haven’t had dukes in my favorites, though

I’m still having issues.  I had to re-authorize it again today.

I actually helped out my brother today as he had the same issue and we were able to resolve - no reoccurrence on my side though (I did not reauthorize - only removed the previous shortcuts/favorites to the stations that were not working and then created new shortcuts/favorites) - I am wondering if there are other threads in the community discussing this?  I will take a look.  It may be worthwhile to submit a diagnostics through to Sonos when the issue occurs and advise support.

OK - thanks for the information.  I didn’t see any other threads when I originally posted this.  But probably better for you to take a look.  ;-)  I have multiple devices I use to manage Sonos - and I need to make sure the Sonos Favorites are deleted everywhere.  That might be the issue.  Thanks again!!

So fed up with Sonos I’m seriously considering ripping the whole system out and buying something else.  The only thing that I can get working is Spotify and Sonos radio.  Tunein radio and Mytuner radio show all the stations but nothing works.  Deleted all my favourites and reauthorised and still nothing.

The update seems to have been a serious backward step and I now have 5 speakers and an amp that I can’t use for what I want.

Can anybody recommend another App that I can use the speakers on as the Sonos one is not fit for purpose?

Thanks.

I am so sorry to hear that.  I’d like to know about another app as well.  This is the second time that Sonos has made my substantial investment null and void.  I refuse to buy any more speakers, but would like the ones I have to work without issue.  Good luck.

There are a couple of generic remote apps in the Apple App Store that show up if you search for Sonos.  I haven’t tried them, but the most recent reviews seem to be from refugees from the official app after this horrific S2 rollout.

Thanks.  I’ll take a look at those.

@zzfritzz Sonos Radio has all of the same stations as TuneIn. In fact, the streams are actually supplied by TuneIn. So if Sonos Radio is working then just go with that and leave TuneIn behind.

Edmountain,

Not sure that’s correct.  Tried one of my favourite stations - Springsteen FM - on Sonos Radio and can’t get it.

The popular Sonos replacement app here is SonoPhone /  SonoPad.

It’s there (on Sonos Radio).

same experience here. NO radio stations will play, either TuneIn or Sonos Radio. I’ve uninstalled and then reinstalled and reauthorized TuneIn. The stations are all there, but you press the arrow to play and it immediately turns back into an arrow.

Sonos apparently has lost all their software skills and turned their technology over to a really terrible team.

Looks like something wrong on your end. Everything is working fine here.
