Waited for the new app so I could Trueplay on my iPad 10 which I purchased after my older iPad was no longer supported by Sonos. It’s visible in the new app but when I run through the steps to play tones it simply does not respond. So it seems to be IPad roulette with Sonos at great expense to customers. Surely this would have been tested ???
The iPad 10 (even prior to this recent App update) is currently shown on the list of unsupported devices for Sonos Trueplay. See here…

That may mean it’s been through testing and found not to be compatible - like many of the iPad Pro models.
The iPad 10 was released two years ago so there has been plenty of time to onboard the newer products. The 10 is also the most current of my non pro models On the older app it is stated unsupported but on the new app it opens but simply doesn't respond. I have been a huge supporter of Sonos bit as someone intricately involved in Sonos I have lost faith in their dev path

I’m not sure and you may need to ask Sonos, but my own thoughts are that the iPad 10 has been put through Sonos testing and did not meet the requirements for Trueplay Tuning. That’s why it’s shown on the ‘unsupported’ list of devices - otherwise it would be listed. Anyhow you are best to ask the Staff about it. Here’s a link to contact Sonos Support.

Thanks. I did ask them but they are non committal in their answer which seems to be a standard thing with them lately . So now I have to go and buy an older iPad with shorter life cycle to make a "high end " system function like it should

Well I have an iPad Pro and the Wife has an iPad 10, but fortunately my iPhone works, so I’m okay for the time being. I almost only ever Trueplay tune a room once anyway and in some cases the changes are quite subtle.
So today I purchased an iPad 9 which is supposedly fully supported by Sonos and Truellaybstill does not work. Been on the help chat for over an hour already

For which Sonos product(s)? If I have a similar setup here, I will try tuning the room too with my iPhone.
Sonos Beam 2
Paired with 2 SL and a sub mini
I have two One-SL’s called ‘Utility’ (No Sub-Mini, without moving things about) - I’ll go try the stereo pair and report back.
Thanks Ken
Nah, it’s not working here either at the moment. Guess it’s a piece of ‘work in progress’. At least you can maybe ‘rule out’ it likely being your iPad 9 at this point.
Just one of the things to be fixed in the new Sonos App. ♂️ Hope that has helped anyway.
Thanks Ken, much appreciated. Saved me a lot of troubleshooting
